Lacustrine Dreams Returns
I’m back in Bellingham, WA after 10 months off for professional leave, or sabbatical. It’s beautiful here. Each morning I drive past Lake Samish and it’s so glassy it looks like a dream. Can’t wait for things to calm down so I can get out on the water. Rebuilding Lactustrine Dreams became a lesson in persistence. First I left the projector’s remote in California, then the quilt was too big, then it was too small so I had to recut the platform, finally my tube amp blew up the day before the opening! But I rebuilt the vibroacoutic bed, finally finished the quilt and it’s better than ever. I still have some more ideas for the soundscape and plan to make some mods this weekend before the reception on April 16th!
Thanks to the tech help at Parts Express and everyone at the Western Gallery. Still a few tweaks to go but it is working, finally!
