3:45 Clean up!
Sunday as soon as possible we will layout the mortise on the step of part B. To do that you need to finish your tenon handle to width. Then we can proceed to layout the tenon and cut it by hand. Finally we will drill the hole in the handle, sand all out parts and assemble! Sunday may go late. We have the room until 5PM.
Other things we’ll discuss Sunday:
Use a piece of scrap to protect finished parts from clamp marks
Glue first then screw.
Glue sets up in 10 minutes so do not dilly dally with the screws. But glue is not completely dry for up to 45 minutes or more, depending on quantity and environmental conditions.
Drilling straight and avoiding shiners
Drilling deep to allow for the wooden plugs to cover up the screw heads with the counter sink bits.
